Adam Lanza Killed 27 People, Children And Adults In Newtown School Shooting U.S(Video)
He was very shy and nervous according to her classmates but Yesterday he slaughtered 26 people.It was Adam Lanza, Who opened fire at a Connecticut elementary school (9:30 a.m ,14 Dec) killing 26 people, most of them children.The tragedy is the sixth mass shooting in the United States this year, according to data from Mother Jones.
The troubled New England resident, who may have suffered from autism, is believed to have shot his mother Nancy in the face before driving to Sandy Hook, where she was a teacher.Nancy Lanza was divorced from Peter Lanza who lives in Stamford, Connecticut
According to the New York Times, the school principal, Dawn Hochsprung, buzzed Lanza in because she recognized him as Mrs Lanza’s son. The Times reports that she was shot dead moments later, execution style.
Police have identified Adam Lanza as the shooter who died at the scene, according to the Associated Press. The shooter was originally identified as Ryan Lanza, 24 years old, although new reports say Adam had Ryan’s ID in his pocket.Ryan Lanza is seen being led away from his Hoboken home in New Jersey to be questioned by police over this morning’s shooting
Three weapons were recovered at the scene. The shooter wore a bullet-proof vest and died at the scene, and police are saying he took his own life.
One entire classroom is unaccounted for, according to ABC News, and it is believed to be a kindergarten classroom.
Students are reporting they saw a masked gunman in the school. When the school went on lockdown, students said their teacher closed the door and police told them to get into the corner.
Witnesses say shooting started in the hall, and three people ran into the hall to help, including the principal Dawn Hochsprung, 47,school psychologist Mary Sherlach, 56 and 27-year-old Victoria Soto, a young first grade teacher. A witness says she heard at least 100 rounds of shots fired.
President Barack Obama became emotional on Friday addressing the shooting of students and teachers at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn., earlier in the day and made a call for action to prevent such violence in the future.
Wisconsin Shooting 2012: Several People Injured After Shots Fired At Sikh Temple Video
Several people have been shot after a gunman opened fire on the Sikh Temple of Wisconsin, Patch reported.
The incident occurred on Sunday morning in Oak Creek.
According to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, witnesses say that as many as 30 people may have been shot.
The AP confirms the incident.
Witnesses told WTMJ that the suspect oped fire inside the temple. Police have not released any information about the suspected shooter and no deaths have been confirmed by authorities.
Two Month Old Baby Killed By Dog(Photos)
It is very sad news that a 2 months old baby killed and dismembered by a family’s dog in his family’s South Carolina home as his father slept.His name was Aiden McGrew’s.Parents Chantel and Quintin McGrew welcomed their son Aiden into the world on 14 February.
Aiden McGrew’s mother called 911 when she got home around 11 a.m. and discovered the boy’s leg was severed by a retriever mix the family had taken into the home a few weeks earlier, Dorchester County deputies said.
The boy died at the hospital a short time later, Coroner Chris Nisbet said in a news release.
Nisbet said the boy was bitten and dismembered, but he refused to answer additional questions about the infant’s injuries. He said he hopes an autopsy scheduled for Saturday will determine if the boy was dead before the dog dismembered him.
When the infant was injured, McGrew’s mother was taking the family’s 7-year-old child to the doctor. The father was sleeping in a bedroom with a 3-year-old child, while the baby was in a baby swing outside that room, Dorchester County Sheriff L.C. Knight said.
Investigators are still trying to sort out how the attack unfolded. The father was being questioned by deputies Friday afternoon, Knight said.
Man Burns Woman Alive By Setting Her On Fire In Brooklyn Elevator (Pics & Video)
A woman burned to death in the elevator of her Brooklyn apartment building Saturday afternoon after a man ambushed her, sprayed her with liquid and set her afire with a Molotov cocktail, police said.
The unidentified man was waiting for the woman, who was in her 60s, when the elevator doors opened to her floor of the Prospect Heights building. The man sprayed her with an accellerant and set her on fire, New York City police spokesman Paul Browne said.
“It was apparent he knew she was on the elevator,” he said.
The brutal attack happened shortly after 4 p.m., lasted about a minute and was recorded by two video cameras, including one inside the small elevator.
As the elevator doors opened to the fifth floor where the woman’s apartment was located, the assailant stepped in and sprayed the woman, Browne said.
The woman, who had grocery bags in her arms, turned about 180 degrees and then crouched in an attempted to protect herself, he said. But the man sprayed her directly in the face and continued to spray her “sort of methodically” over her head and parts of her body as the bags draped off her arms. She turned around and retreated to the back of the elevator.
At some point, Browne said, the suspect then pulled out a barbecue-style lighter, used it to ignite a rag in a bottle and then waited for a few seconds before using the flames to set her afire, causing smoke to fill the elevator.
The man backed out as the woman fell to the floor of the elevator, Browne said, and seemed to pause before tossing the bottle inside the elevator onto the woman.
Browne would not comment on the motive in the killing, but said the suspect knew his victim. Police did not identify the woman pending notification of relatives.
Investigators believe the suspect fled down the stairs of the building, he said.
Police released still images of the man Saturday night, showing him in a black jacket, wearing what appear to be surgical gloves and with a white dust mask perched atop his head like a pair of sunglasses. He is holding what appears to be a canister with a nozzle and spraying as he steps into the elevator.
Neighbors reported a fire in the building, unaware that the woman, who police declined to identify, was burning to death in the elevator.
Residents were evacuated from the six-story building for hours Saturday night.
