Saif Al Islam Gaddafi Captured In Libya(Video)
Muammar Gaddafi’s son, Saif al-Islam,39, was captured by Libyan fighters yesterday,in the Southern Sahara region of Libya.The Guardian reported al-Alagi said “We have arrested Saif al-Islam Gaddafi in [the] Obari area” as he said Saif appeared to be in good health. Saif was arrested along with two aides who were apparently trying to smuggle him into neighbouring Niger.A mob of angry protesters tried to storm the plane but were beaten back by soldiers under orders to keep their prisoner alive so he could face justice.He was terrified that he might encounter like his father.Saif could yet face the death penalty for his crimes, but Libyan officials promised he would, at least, receive a fair trial.ICC prosecutor Luis Moreno-Ocampo will travel to Libya next week for talks with the transitional government on how to proceed with Saif’s criminal trial.Everyone is enjoying this moment in Libya.
